A Bad Haircut

A couple of weeks ago Todd found his hair clippers from his mission and decided that I needed to learn how to cut his hair. (That was his first mistake). Tonight he decided that tonight was the night I was going to learn how. (Second mistake, by following through). We had a brief run down on how to use the clippers. We started off with a long guard and decided to trade that one and go for a shorter guard (Third mistake). I got all the way done with that guard and Todd wanted me to prove my SKILLS (Fourth mistake, I don't have haircutting SKILLS). Todd wanted me to take the even shorter guard and make the bottom shorter and blend that into the top. I was so happy because it was looking decent and I wouldn't be embarrassed to have people know that I did it! (Fifth mistake, DON'T EVER get prideful when you are STILL cutting the hair). We were almost finished; all we had left to do was the side burns. Not hard right?! Wrong!!! I took the guard off of the clippers to trim them up. Todd went from having two sides burns to one!!! (That would be the BIGGEST mistake of all). Side burns grow back fast right?!

As long as you look at him from this side you can't tell that he only has one side burn.

This side shows my mad haircutting "SKILLS" or lack of!

You are SOOOO brave - Richard knows I won't do it. :) It does look really good on the one side.... oops about the sideburn.

Kevin decided once that I was going to learn to cut his hair with his clippers, it only took once and he has had it professionally cut from then on!

You should give yourself more credit. The hair cut looks great and who cares about side burns, right? They'll grow back fast anyway. And I love your dog!! She reminds me of my parents'lab.

Ha Ha, whenever I cut Greg's hair I try to make sure I am cutting it at a time when hair cutting places are open so they could fix it if I screw up! I get pretty paranoid! Congrats on your first attempt, hopefully it gets easier from here!!

I love it! Its summer time anyways, so tell Todd to wear a hat if he is worried. Which I doubt he is. I love the pictures of everything else. That was such a fun weekend trip. Crazy cold and hot, but fun! Love ya.

I think you did a great job! I told Timmy when he had hair I could learn to cut it because he had to keep it so short for the National Guard. The hair cutting dollars were starting to add up. The next thing I knew he shaved his head. Oh well!

Melissa! That happens to almost every brave wife!!! I did it too! Except I did it for Jason right before a big awards ceremony! Everyone noticed and he made sure to tell everyone that the barber down the street did it! (made me feel a little better!) Anyway, looks like he will grow them back! One of the many memories of haircuts!

He still has more hair than Randy. Even with short sideburns.

We love Sammy too!!! What would Brad do without her.

Oh my goodness. That is too funny. That is why I still haven't ever cut Karl's hair either.

You did good for your first time! I still mess up side burns, Bricker's are always uneven. Shane got smart and started trimming his own sides!

How funny!! Good thing hair grows back fast!

Travis always wants me to cut his hair with the clippers! I HATE that job and refuse to do it, but I usually end up helping out in the back when he is finished. His haircuts are always so awful. People make fun of them, but he just does not care! He will NOT go somewhere to get his hair cute. He always says, "you don't want some other girl running her fingers through my hair do you?"

That is pretty funny! When I cut Zak's hair for the first time, he went into the bathroom and just buzzed it. I have gotten alot better- practice makes perfect!

I am still laughing. Thank goodness Zann's hair is shaving it all off. I will have to learn to cut Teddy's hair someday though. You are mighty brave.
